 waiter asked for tips Nov 26, 2009
We found this wonderful restauant in Ipanema. It has an amazing view. The food was decent. Our understanding from everyone was that the service charge/tips of 10% was already included. Unfortunately, when we pay in cash of the exact amount (including the 10%), the waiter asking us "what about tips??". This is the first time in my life, someone asking for tips. I thought it was terrible and embassing for the restaurant that the waiter did that. So, be aware of people asking for tips. Again, my understanding is that the tip is already including in the bill. You should not have to pay extra. Of course, if the waiter did a good job servicing you, please include exta. However, in our situation, he did not.

My cousin took me for a lunch at Azul Marinho Restaurant, and I got amazed! The restaurant is simply the best, we had the thick salty fish, delicious.
The location is awesome! The sunset at Arpoador is just an unforgetable experience. Recommended!!! |
