This hawker style food is quite recommended and even I got this information after it was reviewed in one of girl magazine.
It's located in a stall nearby Slipi Jaya Mall (west Jakarta) and beside the toll road (Kebun Jeruk toll) and beside the Kemanggisan trd. market. The opening hours is 16:00 - till run-out of chicken:). The menu they serve are, deep fried chicken or grilled chicken or sipy grilled chicken. They also presents other parts of chicken such as deep fried liver and heart:). Soyabean cakes (tempe) and tofu is cooked in sweet sauce and deep fried, called "bacem". Other specialty here is "Sayur Asam" literally means sour soup, veggies cooked in broth of tamarind, pure vegetarian and completely refreshing, moreover they put some chillies inside. We ate all of above stuffs accompanied by steamed rice or steamed rice cooked in coconut milk (called "nasi uduk") For 3 person meals, we just spent ~ 5USD.. so friggin' cheap! The place is always busy and thus sometimes you will go there and find out that the chicken is finished. Part of the Jakarta - again! (Indonesia) travel blog |
