Went from Homer "across the bay" to Kachemak State Park for an awesome trip hiking and kayaking. Icebergs, glaciers, cool sea creatures, seafood soup and fresh fish, sea otters, seals, whales and eagles.... Sleeping in tents (watching out for bears) camp fires and 24 hours of light. Plus, NO ONE ELSE AROUND!
Smoke Wagon seemed to be the best operator on the Homer Spit (point of departure for the state park) with great advise and rates. They covered the water taxi, kayak and hiking information and were really friendly.
