Avia Hotel Savannah (Georgia)
Avia Hotel Savannah (Georgia) Reviews
Elegance without Pretense Feb 23, 2009
We happened upon this new hotel while browsing the internet for a nice hotel in Savannah, Ga. I had pretty much narrowed it down to another few hotels within out price range when I noticed that the Avia, while within our price range, had no customer reviews. Come to find out, it was because it had only been opened for 3 weeks. We decided to take a chance because the phone interview with them was so impressive.
We arrived pretty late on a Friday evening. We were greeted my a number of friendly staff members more than willing to help us and make our stay comfortable. The room was impeccably clean and beautiful with a sense of style that was distinctive and different from any other I had ever stayed in. The textures, the colors, the shimmering light fixtures...all add to the ambience that makes you feel as if you have landed in a place that is proud, but not arrogant. Elegant, but not aloof. We never asked a question that was not answered eagerly and never had a request that was not met to meet or exceed our needs. They went above and beyond. I cannot reccommed this hotel strongly enough and cannot wait to return. |

Incredible stay! Feb 10, 2009
I checked into Avia in the late afternoon of Friday, February 6th. I was warmly welcomed by the staff and immediately upgraded to a grand suite. The room was spotless and stunning. Incredible mattress, lovely porcelain tub, and truly beautiful furniture. My room was conveniently located across the hall from the exercise facility as well as the INCREDIBLE outdoor terrace complete with pool.
The staff at Avia is top-notch. They are helpful, respectful and very welcoming. I asked and received recommendations for everything from spa treatments to restaurants and was never disappointed. These people really know and love their city and they want you to love it as well. The staff in the lounge/restaurant area are fabulous! Erin is especially helpful and friendly and can recommend some very nice wines. The room is breathtaking with its dramatic light fixtures and beautiful polished bar. I really can't recommend this hotel enough! I will absolutely return again and again and again... |
