Avebury is a tiny village in the heart of Wiltshire (middle south of England), and also in the heart of a circle of prehistoric Henge monuments, affectionately known as Aveburyhenge. There is a national-trust operated car park, although it is expensive, and a pub serving food. Avebury is close to a number of other prehistoric sites, notably Silbury Hill, and is about an hour's drive from Salisbury.

Patrick is a friend from high school, who I got back in touch with recently through facebook (back when I went to UNiversity, we didn't all have phones or emails. Pinching Lauro's naming Blogs after songs idea, this is the general dumping ground for the things that I did before I started blogging properly. The dates will be appropriate, the stories will be vague, and the supporting cast will be a little embarrassed about their dress sense. Such is life.
