Avebury Overview

Avebury is a tiny village in the heart of Wiltshire (middle south of England), and also in the heart of a circle of prehistoric Henge monuments, affectionately known as Aveburyhenge. There is a national-trust operated car park, although it is expensive, and a pub serving food.

Avebury is close to a number of other prehistoric sites, such as Silbury Hill and West Kennet Long Barrow, and is about an hour's drive from Salisbury.
