Authentic Yunnan Bridge Noodle Beijing Reviews
Yunnan cuisine in Beijing Nov 14, 2013
I am not entirely sure what the name of this restaurant is. The sign says Authentic Yunnan rice vermicelli Bridge. The Chinese writing, 正宗云南过桥米线, translates as Authentic Yunnan Bridge Noodle, so will just call it that. Apparently 'Crossing-the-bridge noodles' is a rice noodle soup from Yunnan province, and one of the most well-known dishes in Yunnan cuisine. The rice vermicelli implies the noodles are made from rice. Anyway, this particular dish is a soup served in a large bowl of boiling broth with some vegetables, the rice noodles, some meats and quails eggs. We had a bowl of this piping hot stuff for breakfast, along with some sort of spicy meat sandwich.
It's a small restaurant located right near Springs Valley Hotel on Xing Fu St. (邮政编码). The service is quick and the rice noodle soup is brought to the table in a vigorously boiling state with steam a plenty wafting into the air. It smells quite inviting. The spicy meat cake makes for a good breakfast sandwich too. A decent place for a quick and warming breakfast, and I enjoyed it.
