I went to Australia with a program called People to People Student Ambassador Programs, founded by United States President Eisenhower in 1956. We went to many places around the country and it was an amazing journey! Please enjoy the blog! (I am sorry for not updating it fully, but it will be done soon! Thank you for waiting!)

Upon our arrival at the camping area, Otto took us on the Broadwater Creek Overflow Walk. The water at the Overflow was c…

Everytime I come back to the Margaret River region, it really makes me appreciate the beauty of the Australian landscape. Sure, it may be a lot drier, browner and sparser than other areas of the world, it may lack people or facilities, but it resonates with me, and makes me remember why I'm so glad to call this part of the world home (or at least, sort of close to it!).Margaret River is famous for it's surfing and it's wineries, and we had a surfeit of beaches and wine tasting to last us for …

Packed bag full of clothes - ……

Pallavi & Kieran escorted me to Corrimal station, where I joined the a-l-l stations train up to Sydney & then the airport (surprisingly …

I booked my trip through Airlie Beach Central Reservations with a clear intent to visit Whitehaven Beach & snorkelling in the one day on a trip with low number of people.Thought i had it all covered until the boat arrived in a bay and the Mantaray staff asked us to walk 250m to a lookout and then down to beach.Walk was actually just under 2km - no warning from Central Reservation or Mantaray about that?! I had to do this in thongs carrying a beach towel??!!Great view at the lookout, …

Went away for a quick trip to Sydney for a bit of R&R from the busy rushing by of life. Left afternoon of the 14th of October and came back 19th of Oct. I flew from Auckland and met my older sister Nicola and three of her friends that flew in from Christchurch. Stayed at the Meriton Pitt Street Apartments which was a great place to stay, central city, handy to everything, self catering but serviced everyday.

Well I'm finally home after about 20 hours of flying. Heathrowe airport was an interesting experience with all its security. I've never had to take my shoes off for a seperate screening before! First flight went pretty quickly. Had a two hour layover in Dubai before the 10hours onto Australia. We had a bit of turbulence across the Indian ocean but apart from that the flight was pretty good. Emirates is definently the best airline i've flown, they have the best food and more space then other p…
