Australia Fair Southport Reviews
Australia Fair Aug 22, 2011
Australia Fair is a large shopping centre, consists of different retailer shops, cafes, food court, restaurants, hair dressers, K-mart, Woolworth, basically a lot of different kiosks. It’s similar to Carousel (Westfield) Shopping Centre in Perth. It’s a good place to go if you have anything particular to buy, but not a great place for window shopping or sight seeing. From the name, I previously thought it was sort of place for special events or exhibitions (apparently not). The food court is pretty large with lots of cuisine selection (chinese, japanese, middle eastern, indian, barbeque..). Main meal rarely cost over 20 AUD. A simple japanese noodle soup cost only less than 10 AUD. Just within walking distance out of Australia Fair is the Southport area (CBD area for Gold Coast), and the water front area ‘Broadwater Parklands’.
