Austin Grill Silver Spring Reviews
Good Tex-Mex and pretty good service Sep 07, 2010
I have been to this location a few times but would avoid the one in DC!
They are situated in the heart of downtown Silver Spring; it has been revitalized and Austin Grill probably sucks in a good profit. They have outdoor seating as well as indoor. They have good frozen drinks and good food and great wings. There is usually a wait and that is often a good sign.
They have events during the week as well as a gluten-free menu and on Tuesdays, kids eat free (but check before going).
Parking in Silver Spring is a toss up. There's lots of it if you don't mind paying to park in a lot or want to pump a meter full of quarters; otherwise, in order to park for free, you have to leave the lot late in the evening (doesn't matter what time you pulled in as the lots unlock the gates and remain up for all to exit) or go on the weekends when it's free.
Once you finish eating, there is a water fountain out front where children play when the weather is warm. It can be additive to grab a seat and watch the joyful kids run in and out of the water!
The only other condition about the area is that since everyone loves it so much, sometimes a young crowd tends to linger in the area. They are often well-behaved and keep to themselves, but can be loud and irritating....so eating at Austin Grill is OK, but you may have consider the crowd when leaving late at night.
Go, relax, and chill out at Austin Grill in Silver Spring.
