Most Memorable Travel Experience
Well my best experience has to be my first trip overseas. One summer during my high school years, I went and stayed with a host family in the south of France for three weeks. Then I took a trip from Aix en Provence up to Paris for a week with a bunch of other kids from all over the USA. I had a blast and since then, I've done whatever I could to travl the world. Here are some other memorable experiences I've had...
- Flown all the way around the world twice
- Fed a Kangaroo in Australia (and also ate one..I don't recommend it!)
- New Years Eve in New York City
- Participated in free medical clinics for villagers in Kenya
- Explored a cave in France
- Eaten a Belgian waffle in Belgium
- Been asked what part of Ireland (or The Netherlands) I was from (even though I'm American!)
- Been on a safari in Africa
- Car accident in England
- Eaten some "interesting" flavored ice cream in Singapore.. thanks Florianne!!
- Been to Bangladesh.. that in itself is an experience never to be forgotten!!
Profile
I'm 27 and live in Harrisonburg, Virginia USA. I've had an interesting life so far... Outside of the States, I've lived in the UK, Spain and Australia doing volunteer work. Now I'm back home and doing the whole "being an adult" thing! I work for an engineering firm overseeing our work in south east Asia. Right now that takes me to Bangladesh and Vietnam which is pretty cool. I also pull a couple of shifts at night and on the weekend as a bartender/server at a wine bar/restaurant. On top of all of that I take classes in the evening... so basically I'm busy! I've started working on a degree in International Business and hope to work corporate side of an airline in the future. I love travelling (obviously!!) and meeting new people. So... if you are ever in my part of the world (which if you are, I'm sorry.. it's boring here!!), then hit me up and I'd be happy to show you around. You can find me on Facebook (Ian Lordi), Skype (Ian.Lordi) or AIM (Aussieusa82). Peace out from the USA!!!
