Good Combination of Ambiance, Quality and Value Jan 09, 2017
Aunt Chilada's (get the pun?) is a great "typical Southwestern dining" experience for the Phoenix visitor who may think of Mexican food as nothing but tacos and burritos.

Occupying a delightful hacienda-style building, Aunt Chilada's offers a spacious (and therefore surprisingly private) lunch or dinner opportunity.

Prices are reasonable and food quality is excellent. My favorite (as in any Southwestern restaurant) is the fajita combination platter.

The restaurant is in a very residential location (near the Dreamy Draw and Piestewa Peak hiking areas), away from the noise and chaos of Downtown Phoenix or Old Town Scottsdale.

So if you are looking for an ideal, "I'm in the Southwest, so I must try authentic Southwestern food..." location, then A.C.'s is the perfect spot.

Good Mexican Food Mar 10, 2011
This restaurant has a large menu of mexican food and drinks. Atmosphere is great especially if the weather is nice and you can sit on the patio. Bocce is also available on the patio for those who like to play or would like to learn.

Aunt Chilada's - Margaritas As Big as Your Head Apr 30, 2008
This great little Mexican place stands in a building that was built in 1890 and today serves up great food, service, and fun.

You get quite a bit of food for not a lot of money. Their premium margaritas are very large and delicious. Food platters are enough to share between two people.

The restaurant sits at the bottom of the hill near the Arizona Grand Resort and is always busy. A small color decor makes it fun and entertaining. The outdoor patio is quicker seating, and a strolling guitar serenade has been offered for twenty plus years on the weekends. **Note: patio is very dimly lit by one candle on each table, so hoard the candles if you see empty tables, it's the only way you will be able to see your menu!

This really is a fun little place to check out for quality food and a great time.
Huge premium margaritas.
Serenade.
