Auguszt Confectionary, Coffee Shop Travel Reviews

Auguszt is a must see May 03, 2008
Auguszt is the oldest confectionary family in Budapest. They have three shops, each of them unique and special in their own way, but all are beautifully old fashioned and all have excellent cakes. If you travel to Budapest, you have to visit and enjoy a delicious piece of cake!

The best cakes in town! (Budapest) Mar 10, 2008
Auguszt is an unmitigated family business, where each and every member of the family has interest in the success of the business and the profession. They undertake past, tradition, and century old greatness with a confusing simplicity. They provide a milieu which is warm, friendly, and pleasant, as if in a dream.

Auguszt is one of those stories, where family business is not the source of stress, but is a treasure which they value and guard with an unwavering persistence. The family practices their profession with enormous energy, charm and perseverance, combining the respect for tradition and an uncontainable conquering spirit in a remarkable compound.
In its business policy Auguszt is rather traditional as opposed to progressive. They don’t want to establish a chain of confecionaries, they don’t aim at industrialized mass production. Auguszt only opens a new shop if there is a member of the family who is willing to take on this new challenge, which makes it extremely hard for the company to expand.
It is not advertising that is important, but the satisfied customer, who tells his or her acquaintances, that Auguszt is the place if you want the best cakes in town. Their guests are mostly Hungarian residents, who come by day after day, for the friendly and familiar atmosphere, the personal touch and who know that the delicious cake they are having is hand made, with care, exclusively for them.
