After just a 2 1/2 hour flight we had a layover in Auckland for 6 hours before leaving for LA. We passed our time in the bar playing cards and drinking a few beers and then it was time to board the plane.

Flew into Auckland and rented a car. We had 14 days to see as much of New Zealand as possible before flying out of Christchurch to Sydney. Not nearly long enough.
