In November 2006 I travelled to the southern hemisphere to live and work in New Zealand and Australia for twelve months. I was in Australia for about two months, and for the rest of the year I lived in New Zealand. I had the opportunity to travel back across the tasman sea three times for short breaks when I was able to get time off work. It was a really good experience to live on the other side of the world for one year.

The bus ride between Auckland and Rotorua is one 4 hr postcard. Beautiful fields, mountains, streams. Sheep & cattle everywhere. It's been a long time since I saw Transylvania, but I think New Zealand has now occupied my top spot for scenic countryside.
