Great Views Jul 27, 2012
The Auckland Sky Tower is the tallest building in Auckland being 328metres high. On a clear day you can see for aroung 80km all around. The lifts up to the view areas are glass fronted so you get great views as you travel upwards. There are three viewing platforms which all offer amazing views.

You can also do the SkyWalk where you walk around the outside of the skytower which is 192 metres high or the SkyJump where you jump of the tower.

The SkyTower also has a small cafe and a revolving restaurant. On the ground is a gift shop and you can have your photo taken with Auckland and the SkyTower in the background.

The cost for an adult is $28 and children (6-14) is is $11.

Great view of a beautiful harbour Jul 19, 2011
The Auckland Sky Tower gives you a great opportunity to see the greater Auckland area. We went up on a fantastic crisp winter morning when there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Unfortunately, the service was a bit ordinary from the staff who manned the elevators and we were pretty much left to do our own thing when we got to the top. There are 2 viewing areas and also a revolving restaurant which we didn't dine at. I thought it was quite pricey also.

Must see sight in Auckland Apr 19, 2011
If you are in Auckland you must stop and see the Auckland Sky Tower. As you head up the elevator to the top of the tower you step out onto the observation deck and see a gorgeous view of the city! If you are lucky and someone is doing the sky jump then they drop down and you can see them from the observation deck before they drop all the way to the ground. The sky tower is the largest building in the Southern Hemisphere. Down at the base there is a gift shop and also a spot where you can get your picture taken with a fake auckland city background or other backgrounds. Deff a must see!

A very nice monument for a very nice city Jul 04, 2011
In the middle of the city stands the tallest structure in the southern emisphere and you can actually go up. On the top you will find a nice panoramic 360 degree view restaurant and also an observation platform which has a nice partially transparent glass floor for the strong hearted. For the really brave fellows there is also a bungee jumping platform. Overall a must visit for Auckland

Great view and buzz feeling Mar 16, 2011
The Auckland Sky Tower provides a great view of auckland city and the surrounding harbor and suburbs. It has a 360 degree rotating restaurant. Also you can do the free fall off the side of the tower to the ground or do the sky walk around the outside of the building up the top which is a great buzz!

Amazing views, pricey but fun dinner Apr 05, 2009
I definitely recommend taking in views of Auckland from the top of the Sky Tower.

If you're feeling adventurous to the bungee from the top!!!

If you're looking for a pricey but memorable dinner, go to the Orbit restaurant. It it at the top of the tower and revolves so you by the time you get through your dinner you have had views of the entire city. Go at sunset.

Great views and good food Mar 16, 2008
My friends and I wanted to have a nice dinner out. You have to pay to go to the top anyway, so we decided to eat at the revolving restaurant up there and kill two birds with one stone. The restaurant was very good but expensive, and its cool when your view is ever changing since its slowly spinning.

The tower is also attached to skycity, a huge complex of...everything. It has a casino, more restaurants, good bars, and shops. Definitely worth checking out.
