 Amazing views, pricey but fun dinner Apr 05, 2009
I definitely recommend taking in views of Auckland from the top of the Sky Tower.
If you're feeling adventurous to the bungee from the top!!! If you're looking for a pricey but memorable dinner, go to the Orbit restaurant. It it at the top of the tower and revolves so you by the time you get through your dinner you have had views of the entire city. Go at sunset. |

My friends and I wanted to have a nice dinner out. You have to pay to go to the top anyway, so we decided to eat at the revolving restaurant up there and kill two birds with one stone. The restaurant was very good but expensive, and its cool when your view is ever changing since its slowly spinning.
The tower is also attached to skycity, a huge complex of...everything. It has a casino, more restaurants, good bars, and shops. Definitely worth checking out.

I went up to the Sky Tower and to Mt. Eden. I started the morning off with a very touristy trip to the Sky Tower. People can choose to do the "Sky Jump" where you jump off the tower all buckled into some contraption, the "Sky Walk" where… #5 - i heart auckland!!!! |

Sky Tower.
The Sky Tower is purportedly the tallest structure in the southern hemisphere. It is 1,900 feet tall. They have bungee jumps from the top, and just as we got there, there was a jumper who leaped off the top of the tower… Auckland, Day 1 |

Disappointed by Auckland thus far I walked to the Sky Tower. I'm quite a fan of large impressive towering buildings and this one was certainly that. The sky tower had some great views of the area and even allows people to jump off the top attached to a wire, at a cost of course… Landed In Auckland - Like Being At Home |
