Great Bungee! Mar 16, 2008

I think about $100 for a jump. After doing the nevis on the south island i thought this one would be boring. I did the water touch though where they dunked me in up to my waste. It was so cool and definitely made it worth it. Made me kind of nervous when we had to wait for a few boats to pass before i jumped though. SPLAT

People think the harbour bridge isn't that big. But it was reasonably scary. I freaked!

Okay so i decided to try the bungy at the Auckland Harbour Bridge because 1) Bungy jumping is in my list of “things to do before I die”, 2) Auckland Bridge is only 43m, hence perfect for a first-timer, 3) I’ve always wondered how it feels like killing myself, and 4) I didn’t wanna… My first bungy jump!

The day tri[ was good as we got to do a Auckland Harbour Bridge tour worth $60 for free and watch some bungy jumpers do the jump we did which was weird. We then headed to Devenport on th coack for some fish and chips, but i got a hot dog which turned out to be more… Day 71, Free Auckland Day Trip....

Today I did a free city tour that took us over the harbour bridge, on a few volcanic cones and to Devonport. I think I'll go wander around the Viaduct Harbour later this afternoon. There was just a big parade - "Boobs on Bikes" but I didn't see any. Tomorrow I am making… Me again!

The highlight of my stay in Auckland is the bungy jump I've done off the Harbour Bridge. A bungy jump was on my "to do"-list and this bridge seemed to be a great opportunity for me to do my first bungy jump. I'll admit, it's really scary to stand up there on a platform knowing I'll have… Kia Ora Aotearoa!
