Auburn Vacation Guide
Auburn is a diverse neigborhood located close to many freeways and within a half hour of destinations in Tacoma and the Snoqualmie Valley as well as the Sea-Tac Intl airport. Average travel time to Seattle is around 45 minutes to 1 hour(depends on if rush hour), and the same to the state Captital in Olympia.
Auburn has many nice parks and recreational opportunities and is home to the Super Mall and to the Emerald Downs horse racing track.
Hwy 18 runs right through auburn and takes you west to Federal way & the I-5 freeway or take it east to I-90 and the mountains. Also hwy 167 runs north/south through town. At hwy 18, Auburn way(main drag through town) is also known as hwy 164 and heads up the hill past the muckleshoot casino and the Amphitheatre(music concerts) on the way to the town of Enumclaw.
