Possibly the best cuisine in the world Oct 05, 2009
If you want to splurge a bit on your food, look no further! Aubergine is one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten - in the world!

Run by chef Harold Bresselschmidt, Aubergine specialises in innovative fusion dishes, combining local staple with flavours from other places in the world. Examples of the innovative dishes are local crayfish with Thai Green curry, or a terrine made of kudu and blue cheese.

Apart from รก la carte they also have a degustation menu, consisting of three, four or five courses and a sommelier is at hand to recommend a fitting wine for each dish.

Obviously the price is rather steep for a backpacker's budget, but compared to European restaurants the high quality food comes at an absolute bargain!
