Atomic Cafe
Atomic Cafe Reviews
Jul 11, 2007
Situated in the Hofbräuhaus / Hard Rock Café block, this disco is quite special, especially considering its in Munich.
They have live concerts almost every night, and when not live, they have very cool DJs. The door policy is selective, bordering on mystifying and the entry price a bit shocking, like being hit in the face with a lump of cold, wet fish. The lights and leather sofas, when combined with a disco ball, lava lamp, and an occasional Afro haircut, give Atomic Cafe a very '70s touch. It is a very mixed crowd in a lot of respects, going from 17 to 40 and they all look like they have a post-graduate degree or something equally brainy. The cocktail card is not particularly impressive and a 0,3l beer will cost you €3,70. It's worth a visit even if only to check it out for once. |
