Atlas Medina And Spa Hotel Marrakech
Atlas Medina And Spa Hotel Marrakech Reviews
Comfort within a walking distance from the Medina Oct 21, 2009
The hotel is located outside the Medina. Initially I thought I had made the wrong choice but my dear friend Marcelle quickly showed me that the hotel was not far away from the Medina at all...
A taxi to the Jemaa El Fna square costs from 30 to 50 dirhams... but in a good day, when the weather is not too hot, I recommend a nice walk to the square which is only 15 to 20 min away. Never take a taxi stopped in front of the hotel. Instead, walk to the nearby avenue and flag one passing by. Ask the driver to go by the meter or agree to a fixed price before entering the car. The hotel is clean, comfortable with good facilities: nice swimming pool, gym, restaurant, bar, spa (extra cost), business centre. My room had a gigantic bed (very comfortable) and a balcony. The shower was very strong and the glass door protecting it was not enough to prevent the water from going everywhere… but it could be just me being a man :-) Staff were friendly and most spoke good English. The breakfast is good but not exceptional. Different types of juice, bread, cakes, cheese, ham, fruits, yogurt, corn flakes, eggs, jam and biscuits. Part of the Marrakech - October 2009 travel blog |

I didn't know how much a taxi from the airport to my hotel would cost me... and to my surprise, there was nobody at the airport's information desk. I asked one security officer how much a taxi… First day in Marrakech |
