This National historic Site is a fantastic place to go if you enjoy history, or even ghost stories. It is the most complete mining museum in canada.

There are 3 tours you can take that are not only cheap but really cool.

You can take a tunnel tour:This is where you put on a miners’ lamp and go up the underground 250 ft. This unique tour climbs an inclined conveyer tunnel, which was re-timbered in 2008.

The Tipple Tour: This is where you can climb the last wooden tipple in Canada and see the inner workings of this nationally designated historic icon. Hear stories of the men and the boys who worked in the Drumheller mines.

Mine Train Tour: This is where you climb into a coal car and tour the surface plant and spectacular badlands scenery. This narrow gauge "mantrip" is pulled by an antique Mancha Mule battery locomotive, formerly used in underground mines.

All 3 give site admissions as well where you can tour the mine office, hospital, wash room, and the house of miners.

If Ghost stories and hauntings are your thing ask about "Pretty Alice", and make sure not to say anything disrespectful about her while your there. :)
