I can't wait to go back Mar 18, 2013
I went to Dubai this month and spent 4 nights at the atlantis, the palm hotel.

It oozes luxury and if anyone reading this review loves being spoilt and wants to really have it all while on holiday, then this hotel is for you.

Everything was amazing and a total dream.

I went to the water park for the day which is free to all hotel guests and had an epic day going on the slides, rapids and just having so much fun that I couldn't believe I'd been there literally the whole day.

I also went to the beach and relaxed on a sun lounger while sipping a slush puppy and eating a halal hot dog with chips.

I only left the hotel once and that was when I went to Dubai mall.

Staff can't do enough for you and I can't wait to go back.

swimming with the dolphins Mar 10, 2012
Well, it has quite an excellent reputation

You get to enjoy the great aquarium that once had a Whale shark, that has been released later on :), the aqua park and some of the best restaurants in the whole country if not in the world.

Looking for a fabulous dinner;

i would recommend NOBU restaurant: Best Japanese retsurant for the year 2011

(Japanese style with American influences by world-renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa), love the atmosphere and the cuisine is just amazing, but be prepared as it is very expensive.

Seafire: Best Steakhouse for the year 2011, if if you are non-vegetarian it is definitely worth a visit :)

They have quite a variety of room types available, some of them would be having an aquarium view, which i consider the best.

Unfortunately i did not get the chance to try the aquarium view suites as it was way above my budget.

What i tried were the deluxe rooms, was not impressed by the furnishing, i would recommend the pool view as you may see the pool, the palm and Dubai skyline. a high rise room is highly recommended.

Avoid low rise rooms, you will not see much from your room balcony, not to mention the noise. also avoid the rooms over looking the hotel entrance, you will only see cars waiting for valet.

is having a swim with the dolphins at Dolphin Bay, just amazing.

you may choose between Deep water and Shallow water experience, both are great and completely different. i have had both on 2 different occasions.

the shallow water experience is made for those who are not good swimmers

what i do not like about the hotel:

Because of the aquarium, a lot of visitors will be roaming the hotel creating a lot of noise and making the hotel seem like a shopping mall

enjoy :)

oh my, guess what we have here... another Atlantis Hotel??? well after being to the one in the Bahamas, I clearly wasn't impressed by this one.. it pretty much looked the same, just had a bit more of a theme-y feel to it.. i guess that's just how most of the hotels are here in Dubai..

anyway- the location seemed quite far.. at the end of the palm by the crescent.. took a while to get to.. not to mention it was expensive to get there!! and then back!! oh my!

I actually didn't end up staying in the hotel as i had already been to another Atlantis and wanted to try something different, but i did ask for a tour of a vacant room and the property.. i was allowed to take pics everywhere, just not inside the actual rooms (which i wasn't paying for).

there are quite a few coffee shops and restaurants inside all with good food, but on the pricey side.. i mean it is a 5star hotel, i wouldn't expect anything else... there is an aquarium which is free for public viewing.. there is a shopping arcade.. lots of variety.. i was impressed.. there is also a great club called Sanctuary which i thoroughly enjoyed...

Overall a great place to spend some part of the day in, maybe even go kiss a dolphin while you are at it, but for the pricey rooms, i wouldn't recommend it as a must stay!

Lost Chamber in Dubai Jun 12, 2011
Inspired from the one in the Bahamas, we found the lost chamber here in Dubai! You’ll get to see face to face with the marine life from around the world including sharks (stared at them for a long time!) rays, giant fish, and a lot lot more!

Expensive but amazingly beautiful, full of fun and activities, you will never run out of things to do, especially if you find a great company.

What I enjoyed the most was the rides at the aquaventure waterpark, especially the “not so lazy river”, and ofcourse dancing and playing with the dolphins. I even get the chance to kiss and hug them, oh my!!! Truly unforgettable!

The hotel has 17 restaurants and bars but I recommend Nobu – a world renowned Japanese restaurant. Costly, but surely, you’ll love each bite!

Sanctuary Nightclub was a lot of fun! You shouldnt miss it too!

Atlantis The Palm, Dubai May 28, 2011
Situated on Dubai’s famous Palm Jumeirah Island, the 5-star Atlantis offers clear views of the Persian Gulf. It provides an underwater aquarium, dolphin-swimming opportunities and an extensive water park.

Spacious guest rooms at the Atlantis Dubai feature Arabian décor and large beds. They all have balconies with panoramic views and are equipped with flat-screen satellite TVs.

Fine dining restaurants include Catalan, Italian and French. The award-winning Nobu restaurant serves contemporary Japanese food.

Atlantis The Palm Dubai includes an underwater labyrinth and the largest water park in the Middle East with near-vertical slides and torrent rivers.

A comprehensive spa provides facial and body treatments and the gym provides personal fitness coaches.

The Emirates Golf Club is 3 km away and The Dubai Mall is a 20-minute drive away from the Atlantis.

Hotel Rooms: 1539.

One of the most beautiful hotels in the world, I bet Jun 06, 2011
Even though I've rates it as expensive, this is a must see for anyone who is visiting Dubai even if you don't intend to stay at the hotel. It is covered in gorgeous art work, a massive indoor aquarium, one of the largest water parks, amazing restaurants and awe inspiring center pieces located throughout. And the fact that it is on the Palm Jumeira (man made island) is just the cherry on top of the cake. A truly remarkable piece of engineering.

Atlantis, The Palm Jumeirah May 25, 2009
Atlantis is build in the middle of the crescent of the man-made Palm Jumeirah Island.

When we checked the hotel as part of "Get to Know the city" sponsored by my previous hotel, its a truly amazing place worth a visit. There is a separate entrance for day-visitors and hotel guests. There is no entrance fee and you get to roam around the big aquarium. Well, we have to make excuses to the guards to get into the hotel guest's lobby to see how it looks like -- and it worked!:) There are a lot of designer shops and restaurant around the area.

The best thing about our visit is we were given free tickets to try their water park called "Aquaventure" which is normally charge to 250 AED (divided by 3.50 to get the dollar rate). There are a lot of funatstic rides, from 2 minutes completely dark tunnel, rides from Zigurrat down to the infested shark area (ok, the sharks are small and they are on a magnifying glass to make them bigger) --then to the leap of faith which is a 30 m vertical drop which I was so scared to try it. I can say I've seen the hotel and tried Aquaventure for free!

Lovely Hotel but you will needs lots of money Aug 10, 2009
This was an excllent hotel-Pure luxury! From the moment my friend and me pulled up we were wowed by the size of the Hotel. The staff were very friendly and it is an ideal hotel for families as there is plenty to do.

However, it was very expensive. We are so glad that at least breakfast was included with out holiday package. Also, it is not ideally palced if you want to go into town-you will need to get a taxi so this means you are kind of restricted to the hotel in the evening.

anyway, i believe that you would need a ride in UAE as it is freezing hot :)
