Welcome to my Travel Blog. I will be travelling from Vancouver on the 16th of April with a short stopover in Santa Barbara then on to Guatemala on April 19th and then by land south to Argentina and flying out of Rio de Janeiro Brazil on August 27th.

So, I had no trouble buying things.... it seems I bought more than can fit in my tiny bag.  And by tiny,  I mean the maximum sized bag that we are supposed to bring :).  We met with the students last week and everyone has their tickets and insurance cards- what else could they possib…

"Welcome to Atlanta where the playas play...." is pretty much how we got off the plane in Georgia.  Then we got some good southern KFC.  Nothing else too exciting.  

Las Vegas is a party town! If you come here and can't find anything to do - even people watch - you need to quit traveling. There's so much to see, so many plces to gamble and if you don't have that 'ching, ching, ching, ching, ching, ching' sound in your ears by the time you leave, you haven't been in Vegas!

My first 'big trip': 2 months through 10 states in the US of A. It was a great adventure, largely because of the fact that we didn't know what we were doing. This was before I had discovered the functionality of a Lonely Planet guidebook, so our trip was mainly planned using fly/drive itineraries. We managed though, and saw a lot of great stuff.
