We took a day trip to the Volta River and spent an afternoon in Atimpoku. It's not far from Accra and a quick getaway away from the crowds there. We had lunch at a restaurant at the Akosombo Continental Hotel. I was a rainy day but we were the only people at the restaurant and got a nice table in a veranda-like hut.
