The Army gives each soldier that comes to Iraq or Afghanistan 15 days off during our 15 month deployments. I spent my time away from Iraq not shaving and just enjoying the small things in life. I was in Atlanta, GA, St. Lucia, and Athens, GA.

Three days after I graduated UGA I hit the road with 600 pounds of stuff in my car and started my adventure in the Army. First stop was Seattle, WA and I took 7 days to drive there. I also took the long way and enjoyed my days alone on the road across the US.
