Greece (01.01.2009 - 06.01.2009)   Previous history:   There’s not much to say only that this was a trip to visit my ex girlfriend and to spend some days together with her. Athens. Stepping out of the airport is like walking into a stone wall with burning hot mortar. The air is like warm rice pudding and when you breathe it, it is almost as laborous as the journey over. Sitting in the back of Yannis' taxi, hoping the c…city would blur by so that I could just make it to the hotel and sleep off this jet lag, but unfortunately the city drags on and on in ever-meandering streams of identical apartment buildings and travel agencies. When:  13-02-2009 Where: Dordrecht - Amsterdam - Athens Transport: Train - Car - Airplane Together with: my hubs Firday the 13th started like a real friday the 13th...although I don't believe in such days like this one... In the Netherla…hotel with friendly people, a 120 x 180 cm bed for two persons but as this is supposed to be a Valentines weekend it's ok. ;) We immediately start walking to explore this beautiful city. Day two started with a free breakfast in the executive lounge of the hotel. One of the perks of staying in an executive room :)~  Our driver, Loucis,  was picking us up in front of the hotel for our ½ day tour of the city at 10:00am, so w…hotel for our ½ day tour of the city at 10:00am, so we had plenty of time.   It was another hot day in Athens , so lots of cold bottled water would be needed. Day 1 ��" Athens We made it!  Sorry for the delay.  Jetlag, way too much walking, and problems accessing internet on first day of this great ancient city ��" ATHENS,  but I’m really not complaining.
