The Plaza Athenee is one of the best hotels in New York. Located in the most fashionable part of Madison Avenue, tis is a place to see, be seen and stay. Everything about the Plaza Athenee says 19th Century Parisian romance. Cocktails are a blast, and the service throughout is elegantly high end French. Of course, the decor and food are outstanding and excellent. If you want to feel like a real well heeled New Yorker try a weekend here in Spring. The neighborhood is awesome for (expensive) haut couture shopping and magnificent brownstones just a block off Fifth Avenue and Central Park. This is one of those places that New Yorkers leave their apartments and check into for a special weekend treat!
