Intercontinental Hotel Athens Mar 02, 2005
The Intercontinental Hotel in Athens is rated 5 Stars, and I would agree. It is not centrally located, so you will have to rely taxis or shuttle service to get to the popular tourist destinations in Athens.
The hotel is not a classic high rise in that it only has 9 floors. It does have great views of the Acropolis, particularly at night. The beds are excellent -- very firm and comfortable. The bathrooms are large, well lit and have all the amenities you would expect in a 5 star hotel. The concierge floor is particularly nice, with its own area for frequest guests to gather in the evening for cocktails or in the morning for a continental breakfast. I liked the bed.
Is the bed best I ever slept in. The room was big and nice. The hotel is situated near the metro station Singrou Fix, so you are very close to Acropoli and the Sintagma Square. The ppl for the reception are very polite. The bathroom is fitted with nice cosmetics. The mini bar of the room has more than you can expect. The room has BIG - LCD television with a clear image. We had view pool. I regret I didnt try the pool. Nex time I'll take there a bath for sure!!! And once again: i loved the bed!!!i am totally inloved with that bed!!!
