Atelier Apart Hotel Krakow Reviews
Value for money May 26, 2012
We were staying for 3 nights in this 3 star hotel. It is advertised as a hotel in Krakow city center. Well, it might be the city center, but to get to the Main Square is a walk of about 20 minutes, and not a few minutes as mentioned on their own website. Besides this, the hotel is located in a rather quiet street, about five minutes walking from the main train and bus station. Across the street is a small supermarket where you find all essentials (water, snacks, toiletries). Not many restaurants around.
You enter the hotel at a small reception area, no room to sit down and meet people. Reception staff was very friendly, some were short on English. But… the language (English and/or German) was difficult at more moments during our stay in Poland. At the reception you find all kind of brochures and they can help you with booking excursions.
I was staying in room 36, second floor, front site of the hotel. A little bit old fashioned furnished. Small but clean bathroom (a hairdryer and soap and shampoo were provided). Especially the shower cabin was small, but with good water pressure. Coffee / tea facilities. Flat screen television. Free wi-fi in the room. The matrass was too soft for me, but that’s a personal thing. The sheets were clean, but with holes… What I did not like was the carpeting, too many stains. But I wear flip flops in any hotel, 3 star or 5 star!
Breakfast was included. The breakfast room is located in the basement. Buffet style, rather basic, but okay!
Although I was not very happy with the location, but regarding the price, I would recommend this hotel.
