At Mejdan is a park and an archeological site situated between the Hunkar Bridge( later called Latin Bridge or Principov Bridge) and the Ćumurija Bridge on the left bank of the Miljacka River.

The place got the name after two words in Turkish: at - a horse and meydan- a square. As the name says it was a square in the past( late 15th century) that served as the venue for the horse market and a hippodrome.

Here used to stand Bakr baba's Mosque, Misrija's Madrasah, Kantamirija's Library, primary school and a Muslim cemetary. Those buildings were completely devastated during the Austro- Hungarian peroid and there was built a park with a music pavilion.

The Mosque was rebuilt in 2004. Today it is a Bosnian national monument.
