Great Hostel, with an even better location Mar 21, 2008

The Astor Kensington Hostel is a great place to stay. The Hostel is situated in a great location, its right in the middle of Kensington, Hyde Pack and Chelsea. It’s also a short walk to the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, the V & A , Royal Albert Hall, and also Harrods. The Hostel itself is relatively clean with a nice staff. There is a free breakfast in morning which is pretty decent. The only drawback would have to be the price, it is in London though and everything is expensive.

Please note that we only accept guests between the ages of 18-35. Smack bang in the middle of Kensington, Hyde Park and Chelsea. There is a large supermarket five minutes away and more busses running past than you can poke a stick at. Our nearest tube stop is Gloucester Road, but South Kensington and Earl's Court are both within walking distance. But wait! The best is yet to come! The Astor Kensington's location is AMAZING! You're a short walk from three of the best museums in the world the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, the V & A. The Royal Albert Hall is just up the road and let's not forget beautiful Hyde Park, and the majestic Kensington Palace. If you're less of a museum person and more of a shopper, then you'll be in paradise at the Astor Kensington. Harrods the greatest department store in the world is a fifteen minute walk away through über trendy South Kensington. This is where London's hottest young things come for a bit of retail therapy keep an eye out for Jude Law, Sienna Miller, Kate Moss and Keira Knightly, who all live in the area. And don't forget the royal Princes, William and Harry, who frequent the clubs in the area almost every weekend. You can spend days wondering through the gorgeous boutique stores, trendy cafes and small, independent art galleries, and when you feel like a change of scenery, all the sights and sounds of central London are a mere tube ride away (or you can walk, via Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey and Big Ben). While you're out, we make sure your belongings are safe and secure, with CCTV and a key card access system. There is also a safety deposit box in reception for your valuables. Photo ID is required at check-in and please note that we only accept guests between the ages of 18-35, as we are a youth and backpacker's hostel. This is a small, cosy hostel with just over 100 beds a great place to make friends and create amazing memories of your stay in London. We'll bend over backwards to make sure you have a great time.
