I spent a few hours this afternoon at the Assistens Cemetary in Copenhagen. It's just a few minutes from where I live, and I often go there to get a bit "away" from the city - it is a very popular place for people to take a walk, look at the old graves and monuments (many fun among) - or to have a picnic.

Many famous people from Denmark are buried at the cemetary - writer Hans Christian Andersen, scientist and Nobel Prize winner Niels Bohr and writer Dan Turèll among others.

This is a perfect way to be cultural and relax at the same time.. and it's free!

It all sounds fun but I still can't quite imagine having a picnic in a cemetary...
