Chinese regard him as a Military God as in previous life Quan Cong was a military general of the state of Eastern Wu during the Three Kingdoms period. He was a son-in-law of Wu's founding emperor, Sun Quan, as he married Sun Quan's eldest daughter Sun Luban.
The central courtyard surrounded by buildings brightly decorated with statues and carvings.
