It was originally a temple Feb 05, 2017
Lukang assembly Hall (also known as Lukang Culture Center) was originally Wanchun Gong Suhu Laoyeh Temple but in 1928 it became the public assembly place, when it was restored and renamed Chung Shan Hall. It was used for senior citizens and then it was renamed once again as the Culture Center. It was renovated using donations from the city's gentlemen. If you think that it looks rather new, you will be correct as the government renovated the building between 2007 and 2009.
