For a very long time, I had dreamed of travelling to Morocco, land of the Kasbahs and the blue men of the desert.
This past October, I finally had the chance to make my dream come true by visiting this wonderful country so full of contrasts, vibrant colors, mountains, deserts, and wonderful people.
For me, the journey was magic...

Being in morocco is a culture shock for european people. You can't feel lonely there because your "new local friends" are right behind you waiting for a good moment to offer you anything you want... Of course for a "really good price"! Anyway i must say: this country is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to.

One of the fellows I met in Tanger insisted that I needed to see Asilah... so the next morning I headed down to the Tanger bus/taxi station. When I insisted that I was taking a collective taxi, not a personal taxi, one of the driver's exclaimed "Allah Akbar!" (apparently he was very impressed by my stinginess!)
Hamid was right--Asilah is definitely a must see--you come through a majestic gateway and wall into an old city of freshly painted, bright white and blue buildings... not a scra...
