First off, i thought this place is in uptown on oak street and not decatur. That being said, my first impression was fairly bad. I went on a saturday night at around 9 pm and the place was fairly empty. The hostess was right at the front but refused to talk to us for about 5 minutes. Then, when she finallyh got to us, she wanted to know if we have reservations. Luckily, our server was not so bad. He was actually quite helpful and friendly. But, for an almost empty restaurant, service was kinda slow. As for the food, the servings were huge. I had the special appetizer consisting of fried calamari, shrimp and crawfish. I thought that was just ok, nothing spectacular. I also had the special entree of soft shell crab. That was huge! But, i thought it was just too greasy. I had better soft shell crab at the jazzfest earlier that day. That being said, this place was just ok although i probably would try other restaurants in new orleans on my next visit.
