Asia de Cuba New York Reviews
Asia de Cuba reopens in a new location in NoHo! Aug 12, 2015
I ate here during NYC Restaurant Week Summer 2015 for lunch. They are open for lunch during restaurant week, otherwose, only for dinner.
This new Asia de Cuba is smaller than theor previous location with a simpler design.
A faux tree stand in the middle along with a communal table, while the perimeter of the long room are lined with booths.
The food was very good. To start, I had the snapper ceviche, perfectly marinated with citrus juice and diced peppers. I had a skirt teak for entree, nicely portion, juicy and tender, topped with lightly dressed spinach. And for dessert, I ordered the coconut cake sprinkled with dried coconut flakes paired with dulce de leche ice cream.
My friend had their calamari salad, lechon with fried rice, and chocolate tree leches, all also very good.
The staff friendly and the service a bit slow but nice if you're not starving and you do not feel rushed.
I'm looking forward to going back for their dinner service.
