As it seems that I look quit trustworthy as I did not have too much trouble checking in, as usual I had to separate briefly from my hand luggage, wallet and cellular and because of the recent attacks my MacBook had to be taken out of my bag. Little did they know that I still had my Suunto, wrist computer, on. This is one mean looking watch, the Godzilla of watches, you could easily hide a bomb in it. So far for Dutch security precautions… let’s see how the Germans fare.

I know this is a shock for anyone who knows me, but I am planning something... a silk road trip. I don't have a time frame yet (next spring I hope) but looking for any feedback from anyone. Also would love to find a few places to stay and friendly faces along the way.

Na een rustige vlucht staan we nu op het vliegveld van Ashgabat. Het is inmiddels 23:30 uur. We zijn opgehaald door onze gids en gaan nu naar het Hotel. Morgen hebben we kort om de stad te bezichtigen.
