When in Amsterdam and visiting the Artis Zoo, be sure to buy their mascotte "Artis de Partis". It looks like an old sock, but it is extremely cute, really has character and personality, and is a great item to carry around the world (Mine just got back from Cairo, Paris, Brussels and Deux Alpes- among other Dutch owners it is much of a hobby to take him around the world and photograph him), people will love him.
Recently, a miniature Artis de Partis has become available as a key-chain, making it even easier to carry one around the world :) Artis also has an alien brother, Artis de Marsis which was sold only on two days and is considered rather rare. If you can buy one of those, do so :)
