Artique Resort Surfers Paradise Gold Coast

I stayed in the Artique Resort in May this year. We had requested early check-in and arrives at the hotel at apporx 10am. The lasy at the reception was very sour and not helpful at all! We were made to pay a $200 cash bond on arrival. The room was very clean and had a balcony overlooking the street/beach. There was four of us staying in the 2 bedroom apartment and we were only given one towel each for the 4 nights we stayed. When we phones reception to ask for replacement towels we were told that they were $4 each. After the second day our small kitchen bin was full. We phoned reception to ask what we do with the full bags and we were told that we whad to take them down to the carpark and put them in the garbage bin ourself. (I'n not sure about other people, but when I'm on holiday I dont really want to be taking out the rubbish myself) On our last day we were to check-out at 10am, as we had a 1pm flight home. When we went to check-out we were told we could not get our $200 deposit back until 2pm as house keeping did not clean the room until 1. She told us that they will send it in a cheque (which could take up to 3 weeks to recieve) after a long discussion of her telling us this was the only option she finally picked up the phone and called house keeping to ask them to clean the room (that is all that needed to be done to get the room cleaned).
If your looking for accommodation ina clean apartments, but where you have to do everything yourself and pay for all extras (even after paying the full rate of $500 or so a night) then look no further. If your looking for accommodation with friendly service where you can sit back and relax then DO NOT stay here!
