"Jimmy's Place" is one of my most memorable stops in Turkey. My friend and I stayed one night there while visiting Efes (Ephesus)- another great stop! Jimmy, a Turkish man, runs the guest house with his brother and his friend from Australia. Which is a nice connection for we English speakers. While not flashy or sophisticated, it offers a relaxed family-like setting for all of those backpackers and adventurers who don't want to spend a lot but would like a private room and safe environment.
It also offers a taste of both worlds - internet and tv in one gathering area with lots of info on the surrounding sites and a step into Turkey's mysterious past, gathering around a fire on traditional carpets and pillows in another area.
The owners are very personalable and are great at suggesting tours and sites you shouldn't miss and those you should.
Favorite memory: sitting around the fire on traditional carpets with natives, Australians, New Zealanders, Europeans and me(American) sharing stories and white wine.

caution: if travelling through the area in November bring lots of warm clothes - especially to sleep in - their heater = warm water bottles for your feet at night. :)
