Arte Luise Kunsthotel Berlin

This hotel is not only at a great location, the Reichstag building, the Spree river, Friedrichstraße, Unter den Linden, and the Brandenburg Gate are all within a few minutes walk from the hotel, but each room is a work of art. The rooms range from ordinary run of the mill rooms to over the top rooms you can't find anywhere else. The reception alone clues you in at how unusual this hotel is since there is a huge sculpture of a horse's mouth hanging above the sitting area. The rooms are clean, spacious, and have great amenities like a television, free wi-fi, phone service and a computer for guests in the lobby. Another fun thing about this hotel is that when you look out the window, if you are facing the train railways, is that when a train passes, you could see pictures on the windows of the train. It reflects the drawings that are on the wall of the hotel.

While my room wasn't the most exciting one, it was still nice and I plan to go there the next time I'm in Berlin.

The only problem I found was that the shower is just the shower head and that's it, there isn't a door. It is a bit problematic because if the next person wants to use it and the floor is all wet. I don't know about the other bathrooms, since each room is different.

My friend and I stayed at the Arte Luise Kunsthotel over the May bank holiday weekend and had fantastic time. Each room is created by different artist in various themes. We stayed in room 309, a Flight inspired room with a hovering bed, propeller shelves, vintage airoplane seats and dangling windows as tables. We had blissful sleeps and did not want to leave.

The hotel is centrally located, clean and is is open 24 hours for guests. The staff were friendly and very helpful when we needed to find places around the city. Will be back soon and have to say I would not stay anywhere else.
