Dubai is a great introduction to the Middle Eastern lifestyle. If you are looking for amazing shopping then the Mall of the Emirates is the place to go. It has indoor snow skiing, and hundreds of shops. Or try one of the many gold malls where you can anything and everything made of gold. Dont see what you want? Tell them and many shops will make it for you. If you are looking for adventure then Wild Wadi Water Park, or sand boarding (just like snow boarding but on sand dunes) are some activities to try. Just want to relax? There are several very nice hotels. Even for a Muslim country drinks are realatively inexpensive and easy to find. One of my favorite cities in the world and the architecture is amazing!!

“Wow,” said Angela as we stepped inside the Chinese Court of the Ibn Battuta Mall. A large Chinese boat… Dubai, U.A.E - Hustle and Bustle in the Middle East! |

This reminded me of swimming off the coast of Mombasa where all the little fish crowd around you until they realise you have no food for them...then off they go. I ambled around the souk trying to soak up the atmosphere but it really didn't have one...I was hoping for a frenetic mishmash of haggling and salesmanship but really… A long walk |

Went to Souk Market and mum bought a white skirt as she was too hot, then catch “Hop on Hop off” bus around to other side of the Creek, then do an hour ride on a dhow which was lovely. Back to the bus and do the Beach Tour. Back to hotel around 5ish. Out to tea at another restaurant.
