This great establishment is run by a friendly team, who really make your stay enjoyable.I thought they had all the facilities that you could want at a hostel. The following facilities were available,

- Sex-segreagated dorms (12 beds each) at $25 per bed
- Camping facilities (Around $9)
- Private rooms (Around $60-65)
- Laundry facilities
- Internet 3 x machines at a cost of $2 for 20mins
- Free wireless
- A DVD room with a selection of more than 50 DVDs to watch
- A large outdoor area for eating and watching TV
- A large grassed area for campers. (Campers seemed to be more than welcome here)
- Bicycle rental
-Their own tours( I went on their Maunu Kea & Lava tour and found both very professional and interesting)

Overall this facility is run the way a hostel/backpackers style of accommodation should be. There were plenty of activities and things to keep you occupied, and the staff made the place a friendly and fun environment. Even thou they are located outside of town, they are close to the beach and in my opinion still within walking distance to town, or an easy bicyle ride.

In my opinion this was the only hostel that I stayed at on any of the Islands of Hawaii that had a good atmosphere. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who is staying in Hilo and looking for a fun environment to spend a night or two.
