Arkadaş Balık Restaurant Antalya Reviews
Trout by the waterfall Aug 16, 2011
If something becomes well-known in Turkey, you will find many places with the same name...so be careful to get the original. The arkadas is not close to the Düden Entrance, but a bit before it. you are in the right spot, when you are on a dirt road, see many cars on your left - and have to walk to the entrance down a really large stairway.
it is well worth it. The view is fantastic, right next to the water or partially in the water. you can choose between normal tables or the more relaxes turkish version.
Temperature is between 7-10 degrees less then in town center - it was the first night I actually slept through and finally felt like I could breathe.
Service is good.
Food is good, the specialize in trout. they also have chicken and beef sticks. The trout was good (12 TL) the beef was good (15TL) but very, very small. I had chicken, it tastes good, but consisted of one leg cut into pieces, one small grilled tomato and a piece of a grilled onion (12 TL) not even enough for my daughter. they also have Kufte (mini meatballs) 5 of them, very small (13TL)
We also had fries (3TL) barely a handful. So, for taste I'll say good, but quantity - even the French have more on their plates. However, you do get a salad (very nice, with mint) and Pide Bread and a plate of sheep cheese. They will bring this to you, without ordering - and charge you extra for everything when the bill comes.
This is common in Turkey for water, but usually bread and salad are included in the price, unless you specifically order. they will bring the food to the table, but ask if you want it.
However, with the Euro being so strong nowadays compared to the TL - it is worth a visit, simply for the atmosphere - and to catch your breath ;)
They also have a small playground and we found some crabs walking along the sidewalks. They do serve alcohol.
