Picture yourself seeing not only beautiful Mountains and Canyons but also getting the chance to look back in time. American Indians were here long before us and left us some magnificent ruins for us to explore. Once you have seen one ruin you will want to see more of them. Visiting these ruins brings you face to face with life as it was over 800 years ago.

Today we got out of Texas. We spent last night in el paso, which does not warrant its own entry, or upper case letters, since it is designed as a gross border town. There were several super Walmarts and chain restaurants, but little else to report. Interstate 10 does pass within feet of the border with Mexico, where you can look out on the shanties of Mexico, in stark contrast to the super Walmarts. At any rate, we made it is Tucson, AZ, where my friend Amanda lives with her boyfriend, Je…

I got obsessed with seeing this area after reading "She Who Remembers" years ago. Also, after my trip to Peru last year, it was really interesting to compare the two cultures.

Antelope Canvon is a slot canyon located near page Arizona. Not to far from Lake Poowell. As you walk through it the light from the narrow roof give off great colors. It is a Photo masterpiece.

Headed out around 9:00PM from Orange County,CA making a stop in Las Vegas for gambling. Arrived at Zion National Park in Utah with no sleep at around 7:00 AM. Spent a couple days there, then headed to Bryce Canyon National Park to find it snowing. From there headed through Lake Powell to Flagstaff for a couple nights and a day trip to Grand Canyon. Then south to Lake Havasu for time on the lake with friends/family. Home by Saturday night after a week long trip in time to start school on Monday!
