Spent the Summer in the US this year. We went to many of the Nationa Parks in the west here are a few of them . Grand Canyon was the first. We stayed at the El Tovar with a balcony overlooking the rim. It was fantastic as we ordered in Breakfast to watch the sun rise. I have been there several times in the past but it is still amazing.

not only was I completely overwhelmed by the natural beauty and colors of sedona, but also felt, literally, lighter or posessed, when i stood atop a mountain, on a vortex. indescribable feeling of being lighter, and heavier, at the same time. whew! i believe that the descriptions below explain the sort of energy i felt, though it seemed as though it were yin/yang. an equal balance. :) there are five main vortices, and i was on the airport vortex...which is so called because it is by the ...

Grand Canyon National Park, a World Heritage Site, encompasses 1,218,375 acres and lies on the Colorado Plateau in northwestern Arizona. The land is semi-arid and consists of raised plateaus and structural basins typical of the southwestern United States. Drainage systems have cut deeply through the rock, forming numerous steep-walled canyons. Forests are found at higher elevations while the lower elevations are comprised of a series of desert basins. Well known for its geologic ...

So by the South Entrance, they have a tiny village/town that hosts cheap and average hotels and restaurants. I remember going to this Mexican restaurant that also had an adjoining gift shop. I wouldn't recommend eating there. Just so you know. Not good food. Try the Italian place, it might be better.

Sky Walk at Grand Canyon West: Grand Canyon Travel Photos

Everyone must check out this 4000 ft. glass floor over hang that is mounted right off the side of the Grand Canyon. Walking on the glass looking straight down 4000ft. is a feeling words could not explain. I have been sky diving before many times and walking on the Sky Walk is right up there with it.

Going West: Page Travel Photos

Had a great visit out west, mostly to southern Utah. Visited many national and state parks. I think my favorites were Zion NP and Kodachrome SP, though it is tough to choose. Anyway, I don't need to go to Europe now because all the Europeans were over here :). I'd estimate 80% or more of the people in the national parks were from Europe (even more when you got on the trails). Met many great people from all over. This is a beautiful part of the world. Enjoy the pictures!
