Good luck learning Buenos Aires… You’d think that you would develop a general sense of direction after 20 years of life. But you thought wrong. Well, when you’re constantly wary of pick-pocketers and the potential of smearing dog poop across the sidewalk, it’s hard to navigate your 40+ minute walk to class… Might as well take a cab although you’re also afraid that they may take you for a joy ride in the wrong direction to jip you of your money. We have discovered that...

JB Boonstra     Things I wish I knew before going to Buenos Aires      Get your visa for Brazil BEFORE you come to South America if at all possible. We had an awful time at the consulate in BA trying to get our visas and when we finally did get them, they weren’t the five year visas we requested. It was an extreme headache that is made worse knowing it could have been avoided by getting my visa before I came. If you find you have to get a vis...

hi all me and grover are now in Buenos Aries (Argentina). we arrived after a lush 16 hour coach ride. Before we took one of many epic coach rides we looked at the Arg side of the falls... they are equally amazing! met up with a quality peruvian guy and his Arg girlfriend who gave us tonnes of advice which is well received in a place where no one speaks english! Had a look around the city and a walk round the bizare  and  famous cemetry that has been in tonnes of mo...

Buenos Aires welcomes us

Ah Buenos Aires! An artsy, bustling city with many colonial sites. The attractive loacals go about their days sipping mate and eating dinner really late. The pillows in our budget accomadations have a lot to be desired. The food was the most pleasant surprise. The beef so juicy, tender, and tasty cooked by a professional barbecuer. The wine fills a whole isle at the supermercado and is so good it deserves to be priced gigher than its average 2 dollars a litre. As well they are buig o...

The final countdown
