This amazing attraction is the world's biggest radio-telescope. It is located near the big coastal town of Arecibo, in north-central Puerto Rico. As it is located in the midst of the jungle, it has a peculiar touch. The site consists of three huge towers forming a triangular shape with cables running from each one of them to the center. In the center, a huge component hangs. On the jungle floor lie hundreds of panels, forming a huge bowl shape. All this combined create a huge structure!! The visitor's center is very interesting, having a small museum explaining the telescope's history, and general information on outer space. Apart from the museum, it has a small theater displaying a 15 minute movie having to do with the purpose of the radio-telescope, very interesting! It also contains a shop selling many different types of books, t-shirts, and other accessories. Don't miss out on this great attraction!!
