Affordable-yes, convienent-dbl. that, free breakfast, great coffee-um, triple.. Apr 10, 2011
Hostel Archi Rossi(obviously great title) is located literally several quick steps from the train station. Yeah, so it has free internet, free tours daily, comfortable beds, free breakfast(and dinner, but this was off-season), yep, I said free...and located in a large kitchen area, laundry, plentiful showers, and all for around 25-30 bucks(dollars). The private garden is a spring delight-your own personal Renaissance oasis. What more could you want? Oh, and it's location is in a little town they call Firenze-maybe you've heard?...

Don't need to mention Florence's attractions, but climbing Giotto's 14th century tower and 'hiking' up to Michaelangelo's Plaza(?) are personal favs. Views from former, and sunsets from latter will simply be seared into your skull.

Archi Rossi can be 'loud', is usually pretty full up, but the place is huge and can accomodate the masses. Stay there, explore this great city, and tell them Brian sent ya.(Um, they probably will act like they don't remember me and all that, but ask the coffee lady downstairs about the American who stayed for a week in May 09'.. How could you forget that?...)

Great breakfast Apr 03, 2011
Only 2 blocks from the train station. Everything in Florence is within walking distance.

The noisiest bed I have ever slept in. You move an inch and the squeaking was epic, bring earplugs!

In early June, the rooms were sweltering hot and the mosquitos were a problem; mentally prepare. Tip: there are fans in the courtyard next to the fence where a scary dog will bark at you. Feel free to take as many as you can carry up to your room. We had three for 6 girls. (Don't ask the front desk because depending on who you talk to, they won't let you take one). Don't worry about the dog, he's loud but very friendly.

There is a cafeteria type area on the first floor where you can get breakfast, dinner and alcohol. The breakfast was the best I've had in Europe with plenty of options.

I would stay here again.

Archi Rossi in Florence May 11, 2011
A very big hostel, located close to the train station. Walking distance to centre is about 5 minutes. Doors are closed between 2am and 6am, and sometimes there's no-one available to open these. Breakfast is included, but is a bit small. Good atmosphere in the common rooms.

nice hostel in florance Mar 09, 2009
Let the review from the lonly planet not put you off. it did that to me the first time i was in florance with the graviti and the drawings on the wall.

it is a verry nice hostel with free diner pizza or pasta. the pasta is a big portion but there are almost no vegetables in it so how mutch nutriants you get i dont know but is is a filling portion.

Free internet thats a good one i had a dorm room for four people with computer.

The breakfast is also very good eggs, omelet or toast also included. I paid € 20,- a night absolute a winner.

A cheap hostel close to the train station!!! Jan 13, 2008
I came to this hostel in 2008 with 4 friends of mine. We were all in the same room, which is great.

This hostel is really friendly, and we met a lot good people and we have a really good time.

In this hotel, there is a kind of restaurant, so you can order your breakfast (for free) or your dinner.

They also offer you some free walking tours around Florence, so you can meet people from all over the world and this is also pretty cool for discover the city.

About the room, this is a basic room, with bunk bed, but we've my friends we didn't really care, so it was enough to have a good rest.

The bathroom is also basic, but we didn't expect the luxe when we are in an hostel.

The fact that this hostel was clean was enought for all of us.

About the rates, here they are : (2 nights and 5 pers):43€ or (63$) for 2 nights.

Booking Info Date Room Type EUR Persons Total :

5 Bed, Private Room (Private Bathroom) 21.50 5 107.50

TOTAL: 215.00
